As one of the hardest working comedians in showbiz, Kevin Hart is all over the media map these days. From TV guest spots to award show host to leading roles in big budget movies, Hart is always on the grind. But of Hart’s next big move, the likable comedian is going back to his roots in the form of a new stand-up special geared for the big screen.

Dubbed Kevin Hart: What Now?, the stand-up special brings Hart’s unique blend of clever and energetic comedy to the movies. As Vulture points out, this type of move is becoming “increasingly rare thanks to cable, streaming, and Louis C.K.–style self-release possibilities.”
Indeed, most comedians these days are likely to release stand-up specials via Netflix than in any other medium. That being the case, the fact that Hart is opting to go this route reflects his strength as an A-list stand-up and a draw in Hollywood. And because Hart loves to do things up, the performance captured in the upcoming movie was filmed at a sold-out football stadium with more than 50,000 fans in attendance.
The full trailer to the upcoming special can be seen below.
Hart’s last stand-up special that debuted on the big screen – Let Me Explain – was a bona-fide success having taken in upwards of $32 million at the box office in the U.S. alone.
