With Black Friday 2015 upon us, you probably have a pretty good idea what products you’re hoping to buy at discounted prices this holiday season, and where to get them. The largest retailers out there have already leaked or published their official Black Friday ads (see a collection of full ads at this link), so you know who’s selling the hottest products in town, especially when it comes to gadgets.
The problem is that you probably won’t be able to get to every store you want on Black Friday. And you won’t do all your shopping online. But there’s a way to get the products you want at the prices you’ve seen advertised, as long as you’re willing to do a little research to take advantage of the price matching policy many retailers have in place.

Various retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Home Depot, JCPenney, Kohl’s, Lowe’s, Sears, Walmart and others have price matching guarantees in place, which means they will drop the price for the items you want to buy as long as you can prove a different retailer has a lower price – as long as that second retailer is covered by the first store’s price-matching rules.
Deals site BlackFriday.com put together a list of retailers that offer price matching. The table below tells you whose prices a retailer is willing to match, how to do it, and when to do it. After all, knowing exactly how this works could save you a ton of time and money next week. Check out the table in the image below.
In addition to the retailers above, you should know Amazon also has a price matching guarantee in place, but only for select products. “Amazon.com will price match eligible purchases of televisions and cell phones with select other retailers, including those who sell their items on our website,” the company wrote on its help website. “For all other items, Amazon.com doesn’t offer price matching.”
Finally, while Amazon might not offer price matching on all products, you can use this very smart trick to convince other retailers to match the prices on Amazon for you in stores.
