Apple is preparing its 2015 iPhone launch, which is expected for mid-September. While we only expect to see two new iPhones launch in September, more and more rumors are claiming that Apple plans to launch a third iPhone at some later date before the end of the year.

Referred to as the iPhone 6c and seen as an iPhone 5s/5c successor, the device is expected to sport high-end specs in a more compact 4-inch body that some iPhone buyers prefer over 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch alternatives.
The handset has long been rumored to arrive this year alongside the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. At the same time, other reports said that while a 4-inch new iPhone is indeed in the works, Apple would only launch it at some point next year.
In recent weeks, most reports stated that the iPhone 6c will be launched in fall, maybe as late as November.
Foxconn is reportedly manufacturing the smaller new iPhone, and new information from China seems to indicate further that the iPhone 6c is slated for a 2015 release.
IHS’ Technology Research Director Kevin Wang said Thursday on Weibo that the “low-cost” handset is going to be released before the end of the year, without actually revealing any other details about Apple’s iPhone plans.
Wang also went on to say that Apple’s iPhone will continue to see sales growth, adding that the company is also expanding its business beyond smartphones, and that it might partner up with BMW and Mercedes for its automotive plans.
