As someone in my mid-thirties, I have come to terms with the fact there is some slang I just shouldn’t be using. Remember when you were a kid and your parents would always misuse words they heard on TV? Yeah, that’s what I’m trying to avoid. At a certain age however, using modern slang goes from cringeworthy to hilarious and cute, and these grandmothers have, without question, reached that age.

A video posted recently on the YouTube channel Elite Daily features a number of grandmothers who have been given cards containing modern slang on the front and definitions on the back. They were asked to first try to figure out the definitions on their own, and then to respond to the actual definition for each term.
It’s amazing… and, at times, incredibly uncomfortable.
