The Galaxy S6 edge is without a doubt the most visually appealing smartphone that’s been released this year and now it looks like Samsung is going to release a bigger incarnation of the device. SamMobile, which has a reliable track record with Samsung rumors, informs us that the so-called Galaxy S6 edge Plus will feature a 5.7-inch dual-edge display and will come with Android 5.1.1 preloaded onto the device.

For what it’s worth, this would make the device larger than what we heard from earlier rumors that suggested it would feature a 5.5-inch display. These same rumors claimed that the device would feature a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, which would be a bit surprising since Samsung has been moving more toward using its own in-house processors for flagship devices.
SamMobile says this new device will launch some time in the third quarter of this year, although it doesn’t have a firm launch date nailed down yet. All the same, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Samsung unveil the larger S6 edge at IFC in Berlin this year where it’s also expected to take the wraps off the Galaxy Note 5.
