Unlike our previous two browser game recommendations, Kuku Kube went viral weeks ago, but after struggling through a few rounds this afternoon, I couldn’t help but bring this infuriating game to the attention of anyone who hasn’t tried it yet. In Kuku Kube, you have to find one anomalous square among a group of squares that are identical… or, almost identical.
LAST TIME: The new browser game that’s going to kill your productivity today
Once you’ve clicked the correct square, they multiply — 4 squares turn into 9, 9 turn into 16, 16 to 25 and so on and so forth. If you get stumped, you can start blindly clicking, but keep in mind you only have 60 seconds to get as high a score as possible.
It’ll have you pulling your hair out, it’ll make you doubt reality, it might even convince you that you need to get glasses, but if you spend enough time with it, I promise that you’ll beat my high score of 28. I just can’t get past those purple levels.
Oh, and if you become so obsessed with the game that you don’t want to step away from your computer, you might want to download one of the countless apps that has aped the game’s design on both the App Store and Google Play.
