The photos you upload straight from your phone to Facebook typically aren’t works of art, but starting this week, you don’t have to worry about tinkering with them to make them look better. TechCrunch reports that Facebook is now automatically enhancing photos uploaded on iOS devices, with Android soon to follow.

Don’t worry — you’ll still have some input. After you upload the photo, you can edit its brightness and clarity with a slider, or even revert it back to its original state. Facebook isn’t taking the control away from you, it’s just adding a convenience factor for those that don’t want to spend time perfecting their shots.
As TechCrunch notes, Google+ added a similar auto-enhance feature over a year ago, but Facebook’s seems to be focused on mobile. The company doesn’t seem to have any intention of bringing the new feature to the desktop.
