Let’s say you’ve set up a date with someone who lives a few towns away from where you are and you’re trying to figure out a great place to meet that’s convenient for you both. You could fumble around with Google Maps and try to find a place that would take the both of you roughly the same time to reach. Or you could use Meet Me Halfway, a new Android mapping app the finds the exact midpoint between two different locations and gives you suggestions for nearby restaurants, cafés, entertainment venues and more. The app is still in beta so if you download it for free from the Google Play store you shouldn’t expect a bug-free experience. Nonetheless, it’s definitely one of the best mapping app ideas we’ve seen this year.
