Hoping to compete successfully in the ever-expanding online video rental world, Amazon appears to be contemplating some maker changes to its Unbox service. The company recently circulated a survey to a select group of customers, indicating a willingness to explore new options. It seems they’re looking to make a move towards offering High Definition content, giving customers an HD option on top of the currently available Standard Def choices. Other changes include a possible move towards a subscription model, giving everyone access to a certain number of downloads/month, and the possibility of offering select titles free of charge as a promotional tool. This is all clearly in the planning stages at the moment, but don’t be surprised if we see some of these features trickle out sooner than later. Anyone willing to give this a shot?
