T-Mobile has a lot going on right now thanks to the MetroPCS merger and all of the commotion surrounding it, but the show must go on. The carrier announced on Monday that its new LG (066570) Optimus L9 smartphone will go on sale later this month for $79.99 with a standard voice and data plan after a $50 mail-in rebate. The new Android handset will also be available for $49.99 when purchased alongside one of T-Mobile’s Value plans. The Optimus L9 features a 4.7-inch 540 x 960-pixel display, a dual-core 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera and Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. T-Mobile’s full statement follows below.
The LG Optimus L9 is expected to be available nationwide at T-Mobile retail stores, select national retailers and dealers, and online at http://www.T-Mobile.com starting October 31. Qualifying customers can pair the Optimus L9 with a Value voice and data plan and a two-year service agreement for $49.99 with an out-of-pocket down payment and 20 equal payments of $15 per month with T-Mobile’s Equipment Installment Plan (EIP). Also offered with a Classic voice and data plan, the Optimus L9 will cost $79.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate card with a two-year service agreement.
