Some pictures of Sony’s (SNY) Xperia J mid-range smartphone have started to trickle out on Taiwanese site ePrice and so far the new Xperia device looks pretty similar to the Sony Xperia smartphones we’ve seen in the past. The key difference is that the Xperia J seems to have more curved edges around its outer frame, making it somewhat more stylish than previous models that were simply flat slabs. In terms of specs, the Xperia J is actually a bit weaker than the Xperia ion Sony released earlier this year as it features a 4-inch FWVGA display, a 1GHz single-core processor, a 5-megapixel camera and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. If nothing else, the Xperia J shouldn’t sell for more than $99 if it’s ever released in the United States.
