Verizon Wireless was first to bat and now both AT&T and T-Mobile have announced their respective Galaxy Note 3 release dates, and T-Mobile has revealed launch details for the Galaxy Gear smartwatch as well. AT&T on Friday announced that it will begin taking preorders for the Galaxy Note 3 phablet immediately ahead of the device’s launch set to take place “around” October 1st. Where the Galaxy Gear is concerned, the carrier would only say that Samsung’s new smartwatch is coming soon. The Note 3 will cost $299.99 on contract at AT&T, or $35 per month for 20 months with its new AT&T Next scheme.
Over at T-Mobile, the Galaxy Note 3 release date has been set for October 2nd and the phablet will run $199.99 down plus 24 monthly payments of $21, bringing the phone’s total cost to a hefty $703.99. That sum is in line with the $700 total subscribers will pay with AT&T’s Next plan.
The Galaxy Gear will be released on October 2nd as well at T-Mobile, and it will cost $299.99 without any contract.
BGR posted a hands-on preview of the Galaxy Note 3 earlier this week and called it the new king of phablets. We also previewed the new Galaxy Gear smartwatch and said it is Samsung’s most impressive mobile hardware to date, but more importantly, it’s an answer without a question.
