OK, nerdy parents — this time you may have gone too far. Per Entertainment Weekly, it seems that the name “Anakin” last year climbed into the top 1,000 baby names among American newborns. According to the official list of popular baby names generated by the Social Security Administration, 218 newborns were named Anakin last year, which makes the name as popular as Emmet, Baylor and Judson. Overall Anakin was the 957th most popular name in the U.S. last year after ranking 1,234th in 2013.

Anakin, of course, is the real name of Darth Vader, the classic hero-turned-villain-turned-hero-at-the-last-minute from the Star Wars films. We’re not sure why so many nerdy parents want to name their children after a character who’s famous for becoming an evil, inhuman monster but we will say that it’s a nicer name than Boba Fett, Jar Jar, Chewbacca or Jabba.

And besides, parents who truly want to give their kids an evil name could just go outside the Star Wars universe all together and name their babies Cthulhu…
