Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 is the only Samsung smartphone so far that can’t be accused of copying Apple’s iPhones, but its successor might not be the hottest new phablet out of South Korea this year. With many Android fans eagerly awaiting the September debut of the Galaxy Note 5, their attention has suddenly turned to the “Galaxy S6 Plus,” another new phablet Samsung will seemingly launch this year. And if the rumors pan out, it’ll debut much sooner than the Note 5.
Now, photos of the upcoming new Galaxy S6 Plus have seemingly been leaked for the first time.
Curious that Samsung’s phones stopped using “+” in their names and began using “Plus” now that the iPhone 6 Plus has been released… but we digress.
A new leak out of Russia reveals what are claimed to be the first live photos of Samsung’s unreleased Galaxy S6 Plus phablet. According to the accompanying report, the phone will replace last year’s Galaxy Note Edge, suggesting that a new Edge-branded phone will not debut alongside the new Galaxy Note 5 this fall.
According to an earlier report, the new Galaxy S6 Plus will be unveiled in the coming weeks. It is expected to feature a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor along with a 5.5-inch display that is curved on both sides, just like the Galaxy S6 edge.
The leaked images that supposedly unmask the Galaxy S6 Plus follow below.
