The Galaxy S6 is by far the most impressive smartphone Samsung has ever released but you don’t realize just how impressive it is until you see it undergo some of the insane torture tests that sadistic YouTubers put it through. SquareTrade Inc recently put the Galaxy S6, the S6 edge and the iPhone 6 through a wide gamut of torture tests and found that the Galaxy S6 really is the toughest phone on the block, as you’ll see in a video below.

In all, the Galaxy S6 was able to withstand 110 pounds of pressure without permanently bending, where as the S6 edge cracked and Apple’s newest iPhones were left bent. The S6 also survived a total of six separate drops from a height of six feet without breaking and it still functioned after being dunked underwater for 10 seconds.

All phones come with trade offs — if you make a phone that’s too thin, you can sacrifice battery power, whereas if you made a phone too large, it increases the chances of it bending under pressure. That said, the Galaxy S6 really does look like it’s very well balanced and doesn’t have one glaring flaw that we often see with flagship phones.
