Apple won’t admit it but it does seem to have a problem with bending iPhone 6 Plus models, as hundreds of users have now posted pictures of their bent smartphones online. And now another Apple fan who says they “didn’t believe the hype” surrounding the “Bendgate” controversy has posted a new picture on Reddit of their bent iPhone 6, which stress tests have generally found is much harder to bend than the larger 6 Plus.

FROM EARLIER: Proof Apple knows ‘Bendgate’ is much more serious than it publicly admitted

Redditor martybell says that their iPhone 6 got bent after three weeks of “light” use in which the device was carried around in both front and back pants pockets, although the user insists that they always took the device out of their pockets before sitting down. As you can see below, the device has a definite bend in roughly the same area as the bends we typically see in the iPhone 6 Plus:

The user also claimed that the phone bent despite the fact that they put a “thin metal bumper case” around it and that they didn’t remember putting an undue amount of force on it. Furthermore, they say that they first noticed this problem when they saw a slight separation between the screen and the metal frame.

All told, this wasn’t too much of a big deal for the user since they were able to bend the phone back into shape. Nonetheless, it’s more evidence that Apple’s newest iPhones do have bending issues, despite the company’s earlier insistence that less than 10 people have complained about the problem.
