  • UncleCarl

Anybody have a timeframe for the release of this for the public?

    • Mike

Anyone who watched the keynote, or the hundreds of updates on sites following the Keynote, already knows. So yes, thousands of people know when this is scheduled to be released.

      November

Please be more of a douch next time Mike, you were far to courteous in answering my question.

  • Huh?

Maybe I’m missing something, is this like a updated 4.2, because I have had 4.2 beta for over a week…

    • serpentor

Dude, read the title. This is BETA 2.

      • Huh?

Oh, haha, I guess I missed that. :/

  • Android sucks

Wonder if this will brick as many phones as Android 2.2 did?

Sniff Sniff….I smell a troll. Why don’t you crawl back under the bridge that is your mother’s basement

when in november is the release for ios4.2 due to be released to the general population?

    • Mike

We’ll find out in November when they announce that. Until then, that is the only information released by Apple.

4.2 b2 works much better for me than b1 on the ipad. Settings page does work now. Used Transmac to extract the .ipsw from the .dmg

Can anyone tell me or guide me how to find this link on the Iphone Developer portal. Cant find the link

    • Mike

      developer.apple.com

    • d-range

Just log in to developer.apple.com, go to iOS dev center, and click the ‘iOS beta’ tab there. If it is greyed out, you either have to accept the EULA again because it was changed when the 4.2 beta 1 was released, or your developer program subscription has expired.

tried Ti install on my iPhone 4 and it kept failing with error 10. Anyone else having that issue?

You must install the beta SDK prior to updating your iPhone with iTunes. I ran into that too.

Make sure you have the latest XCode installed from the developer portal, then install using XCode, not iTunes.

Good news ! It does not crash so much as it did with Beta 1 (iBooks, mail with SMTP, random crash). It’s indeed a lot more stable.

Haven’t notice anything new besides what was notice with Beta 1.

And I put all kinds of video to my ipad with iFunia ipad video converter. I think other will do the same once they try it and realize it is the perfect personal computer :-) why not do this thing as me???

Stop trashing each others Cell Phones, you guys act like they are putting money in your pocket or something. Be happy with the device you have and keep it moving.

I have to agree. Android and iOS have their pluses and minuses. Both are very strong operating systems. Same with hardware out there. WTF is it with people that they find their identity in their smartphones? Pretty freaking sad if you ask me.

I have both an iPhone and a Droid and I love them both.

WTF is wrong with you people?

  • DWalla

Have you seen the Flash performance on mobile phones?.. Suckzilla… it’s beyond awful.

  • Bobby Digital

No, but it makes your JunkDroid look like a Commodore 64. Ssssssizzle!

  • rimbuk

I have seen it, actually… I was watching “Trogdor” and other strongbad emails on my droidx last wednesday at the muse concert here in san diego. It worked fine.
