Apple on Tuesday released a new iOS 8 update, version iOS 8.1.2, that brought various fixes and improvements to iOS devices including a fix to an iTunes Store ringtone-related issue. However, it looks like the company has not yet patched the security exploits let users jailbreak their iPhones, iPads and iPod touch players. Thus, the TaiG tool can still be used to jailbreak devices that have been upgraded to iOS 8.1.2, as PocketNow reports.

TaiG has already released the updated app required to jailbreak devices running iOS 8.1.2, and the process is fairly simple, as long as users have access to a Windows computer — at this time, a Mac version of the application isn’t available to download.
The TaiG jailbreak tool comes with the Cydia store (version 1.1.16), which users can choose to install during the jailbreak procedure.
That said, even though jailbreaking isn’t exactly illegal, it’s still a kind of procedure Apple frowns upon, and the vulnerabilities used to make this TaiG tool possible will likely be patched up in following major iOS updates.
