T-Mobile announced on Tuesday it has enhanced 10 new U.S. metro markets with speedier “4G” HSPA+ coverage. Cities receiving the new infrastructure include Phoenix, Mesa and Tucson, Ariz.; San Francisco, Modesto, Oakland, San Jose and Stockton, Calif.; and Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Fla. T-Mobile says customers in those areas will notice “enhanced voice and data coverage, and faster speeds on unlocked devices to connect with friends and family.” The United States’ fourth largest wireless carrier recently added three additional U.S. cities for its 1900MHz network in an attempt to keep customers from jumping ship to carriers that support faster LTE speeds. Until T-Mobile’s LTE network launches in 2013, customers on its network will have to do with enhanced HSPA+ coverage.
