We’ve seen quite a few longtime Android fans talk about switching to the iPhone lately and now Apple has converted a longtime Android fan who previously tried the iPhone for two weeks before running back to Google’s platform. Joe Casabona decided to give the iPhone 6 another shot recently and this time he started using some key iOS features that he hadn’t really bothered with in his first time using the device. As a result, he will make the iPhone he primary mobile device going forward.

One of the biggest iOS features that really impressed Casabona was the Handoff feature that makes it easy to share information between iPhones, iPads and Macs. While he acknowledges that you can get a similar functionality across Android and Chrome, he says the experience on iOS just can’t be matched.
“I’m telling you, it’s better on iOS,” he says. “It’s more integrated. I don’t have to download a 3rd party app. I don’t have to fight or tab or click. As much as it kills me to say this, it just works. It’s so convenient and it works really, really well.”
He also has praise for Touch ID, Passbook and Apple Pay.
Another big draw for Casabona to the iPhone is something that’s been a hot topic for many Android users lately: Namely, how insanely long it takes to get new software updates on Android devices. It goes without saying that he prefers the Apple approach of being able to get the newest software as soon as it’s released.
“No more waiting forever to get OS updates,” he writes. “The day iOS 9 drops, I will have it on my phone. Do you know how long it took me to get Lollipop? I had to buy a new phone. Then I had to nearly brick that phone during an upgrade.”
