A terminally ill Star Wars fan who may not live long enough to view Star Wars: The Force Awakens when it hits theaters next month was given the opportunity to watch the film weeks before its release.
Daniel Fleetwood, just 31-years old, tragically suffers from a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Currently, more than 90% of Fleetwood’s lungs are affected by tumors. With doctors giving him just one to two more months to live, one of the last things he wanted to do was to watch the upcoming Star Wars movie, a wish that his all-star of a wife Ashley Fleetwood made happen.

Ashley began a social media campaign on Twitter that quickly picked up steam, even garnering retweets with a ForceForDaniel hashtag from Star Wars actors Mark Hamill, John Boyega, and Carrie Fisher.

“If I got to see the movie, I might actually die from happiness,” Daniel told People Magazine before his wish came true. “Growing up, I would watch the movies over and over and analyze every little detail. I hope I get to see what happens.”
