Sony finally gave us a release date for its hugely anticipated PlayStation 4 at the Gamescom gamer conference on Tuesday and said that the PS4 would launch on November 15th in the United States and on November 29th in Europe with a price set for $399. Sony also announced that it was dropping the price of its PS Vita portable gaming console to just $200, which is likely a reflection of the stiff competition dedicated portable gaming consoles face from smartphones and tablets. The Vita has experienced a small renaissance since it first cut its price earlier this year so the latest cut is likely to boost sales even further still.
