Sony Ericsson TM506 Announed; T-Mobile 3G Support

So you’re thinking to yourself, “ok so now I know which markets T-Mobile is deploying 3G in this year, but what about some new 3G handsets?” It’s a fair question and we’re glad you asked. Say hello to the latest handset to be announced by T-Mobile US, the Sony Ericsson TM506. It’s no G1 but it is most definitely a solid and sleek basic handset with more than enough juice for the typical mobile user. And beyond that, it rocks a UMTS antenna ready and waiting to eat up T-Mobile’s AWS 3G spectrum. Some music, maestro:

The TM506 will be available in early September directly from T-Mobile online and in stores. Pricing info hasn’t been released yet but expect this puppy to be pretty affordable as T-Mobile gives its shiny new 3G networks a push.
