Sony (SNE) on Wednesday unveiled a massive 84-inch Bravia TV with 4K resolution, known as the XBR-84X900, during its press conference at the IFA trade show in Berlin. Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai announced the TV and revealed that it is capable of up-scaling lower-resolution content to 4K. BGR exclusively reported details about the TV last week, which will cost approximately $25,000 when it launches, along with details about the company’s next-generation PlayStation 4 game console that will also support 4K resolution. Sony’s 84-inch Bravia TV is expected to be released in time for the holidays this year.
