Ask and ye shall receive. Due to overwhelming consumer demand, Sling Media is poised to launch an American version of their mobile client for the Symbian operating system. For the 3 of you that don’t know, Sling’s mobile SlingBox client allows you to watch live TV re-broadcasted from your home set onto your mobile phone. As you might surmise, it’s an incredibly data-heavy proposition, meaning that anyone without 3G or Wi-Fi should probably leave this one alone but, it does actually work on EDGE. Given the current Symbian offerings from American carriers though, that leaves just one….AT&T! Anyone with a Nokia N75 or other HSDPA/UMTS-capable Symbian handset should hit the link and sign up for the beta…we hear that Sling is in need of a few good beta testers, beginning tomorrow morning…enjoy!
