Samsung (005930) fans may not have to wait much longer for the company’s next-generation smartphone. SamMobile passes along a tweet from Eldar Murtazin, founder of Russian website Mobile-review, claiming that Samsung will launch its next-generation Galaxy S IV on March 14th in New York. Earlier rumors have indicated that the Galaxy S IV will feature a full-HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080-pixels, a 1.9GHz quad-core processor and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

UPDATE: Unnamed sources tell The Verge that Samsung is “definitely” launching the Galaxy S IV on March 14th, so mark your calendars. Most intriguingly, The Verge’s sources also say we should expect the Galaxy S IV to “to take design cues from the Galaxy Note 8.0,” which the sources claim looks very little like the images we’ve seen leaked so far.
