How much money would someone have to pay you in order for you to give up your cell phone? According to a poll by Britain’s Carphone Warehouse, the average answer is a whole lot more than you’d think. The popular retailer discovered that 1 in 3 people wouldn’t give up their cell phone for 1 Million pounds, roughly the equivalent of $2 Million Whoa. 76% of respondents believed that it was a “social requirement” to have a mobile phone. Social requirement? How about a business requirement? $2 Million is mighty tempting, but at the end of the day I think we’d rather hold on to the fleet of 9xxx BlackBerrys that just came in HTC Kaiser than risk social leper status.
