Netflix may have a brand new features in the works to keep users glued to the screen watching its upcoming TV shows, one Twitter user has discovered. As Rich Greenfield noticed on Twitter, the official Marco Polo Twitter account — Netflix’s upcoming TV series — has a Tweet Me a Reminder button appended to independent tweets that’s probably going to be used to register a fan’s interest in the show.

Once someone opts for this feature, he or she will receive updates via Twitter when new episodes become available.

“The reminder will come in as an @Reply from the @MarcoPoloMP Twitter account, directed at each user who has opted in, as soon as the episodes are available at 12:01AM Pacific time on December 12, and will include a custom video message from the cast,” Netflix told The Next Web in a comment.

It’s not clear though whether the feature will also be available for other TV shows in the future, especially Netflix’s original series. The Tweet Me a Reminder button, as seen in the following image, has been seen only on the Marco Polo Twitter account.
