It’s been fun watching Frank Underwood ruthlessly climb the ladder from being a congressman to the vice president and then finally to the presidency. Now that Frank’s on top of the world, he has to figure out how he’s going to stay there, which should be the main story arc of House of Cards’ third season.

Netflix on Monday announced that House of Cards’ third season will be made available to watch on February 27th this year, which is certainly a date that TV fans everywhere will have circled. Netflix also posted a short teaser video of Underwood (Kevin Spacey) and his wife Claire (Robin Wright) silently ascending the steps of Air Force One. As they reach the top step, Frank tilts his head and looks directly into the camera, a reference to the show’s conceit of having Frank tell us what’s really going on in his head by talking right to the camera during his highly entertaining soliloquies.
Netflix has been on a roll ever since House of Cards premiered as its flagship show in early 2013. In addition to House of Cards, Netflix has also won wide acclaim for its prison-based dramedy Orange Is The New Black, while its big-budget new series Marco Polo is set to premiere later this month.
