It’s interesting that the King of All Social Networking is actually chasing someone else for a change. New to the MySpace line-up of services is MySpace TV, a new, upgraded, and more formalized version of their video sharing. And it now comes with its own website (www.myspacetv.com). While some might scoff at the idea that MySpace could catch up and give YouTube a run for its money, you might be surprised to know that in April, YouTube generated 57.9 million U.S. viewers, while MySpace’s informal video sharing was a no-so-distant second at 50.2 million. “No one has really pointed out that MySpace has been focused on video and has quietly come within striking distance of YouTube,” states Chris DeWolfe, co-founder and CEO of MySpace.
