The 2014 Moto X is a very impressive smartphone but it looks like Motorola is saving even better hardware for a release set for later this year. Android Community has spotted a benchmark for the upcoming Droid Turbo, a Verizon exclusive has been tipped in the past to feature specifications that are even better than the ones we saw in the newest Moto X.
MOTO X REVIEW: Say hello to the best Android phone in the world
According to the benchmark, the Droid Turbo will have a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, a Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor that runs at 2.65GHz, a 19-megapixel camera, 3GB of RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat For comparison, the new Moto X features a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p, a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, a 13-megapixel camera, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat.
We still don’t know when this new device will be released but it wouldn’t surprise us to see it launched as a Verizon exclusive later this month since only Verizon gets Motorola phones that come with the Droid branding.
