Microsoft’s massive 84-inch Surface tablet priced at $20,000

Microsoft Surface Hub Pricing Availability

Microsoft’s Surface Hub will do for tablet computers what Crocodile Dundee once did for knives — that is, it will show us how puny the ones we use every day really are. Microsoft’s massive new tablet isn’t meant to be a consumer device, of course, and it’s being targeted straight at the enterprise market. The device has an 84-inch diagonal and it will cost $20,000, which should put it out of reach of the average PC user.

DON’T MISS: iOS 9 is spectacular… and I just uninstalled it

That said, Microsoft says that anyone who takes the plunge and buys a Surface Hub will be getting terrific value for their money.

“As a complete, all-in-one solution, Surface Hub delivers incredible value,” Microsoft explains. “In an average conference room, Surface Hub replaces a number of disparate tools and technologies, including the audio-video conferencing system, display, projector, wireless receiver, and the analog or digital whiteboard at a lower upfront cost. And when you look at ongoing management costs, the story gets even stronger.”

The Surface Hub will start shipping in September this year to 24 different markets, including the United States and Canada. To learn more about this gigantic office tablet, check out Microsoft’s full post on it here.
