Former Microsoft UK General Manager Simon Negus was let go last year, and now he is suing his former employer for wrongful termination. Negus was dismissed following allegations that he lied during an investigation into his conduct at a 2010 company party in Atlanta, Georgia. The executive was accused flirting with, kissing and touching colleague Toni Knowlson, and asking another female colleague to stand on a chair so people could see her short skirt. In Negus’ lawsuit, however, he denies the allegations and claims Microsoft’s annual sales conferences were rife with “drunkenness and outrageous misbehaviour.” The former Microsoft executive also claims company VP Gordon Frazer intentionally set out to prevent him from rising through the ranks at Microsoft. Negus is seeking 15 years of earnings in his complaint, which covers harassment and wrongful termination. Microsoft would not comment on the case.
