LG (066570) apparently isn’t sitting around and letting its flagship Optimus G smartphone line grow stale. AndroidGuys points us to a report from the Korean website MK stating that LG is already working on a sequel to the Optimus G that could be released as early as May 2013. The new smartphone, currently dubbed the Optimus G2, is rumored to feature some crazy specs: a 2GHz processor, a display with a pixel density of 440 pixels per inch, and the yet-to-be-announced Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. While such specs are certainly gaudy, they’re not out of the realm of possibility, especially since Google (GOOG) typically releases a new iteration of Android every nine months or so.
