Here’s one reason for wireless carriers to quit whining about the iPhone cutting into their margins: iPhone users spend more on their wireless bills than users of any other smartphone. AllThingsD points us to new research from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners showing that 59% of iPhone users spend over $100 a month on their wireless bills, the highest percentage of any other group of smartphone users. Windows Phone users’ phone bills are almost as expensive, however, as 56% of Windows Phone owners spend more than $100 per month, while 53% of Android users spent more than $100 per month. BlackBerry users have the lowest average monthly smartphone bill by far: Only 40% spend more than $100 per month and 10% actually report spending less than $25 per month.
