Think, for a moment, about just how crazy this is: the upcoming new flagship smartphone from a company that used to hide its secrets better than any other consumer electronics maker on the planet has leaked in several videos ahead of its official announcement. Apple products used to be a complete mystery right up until the moment they were announced, but it looks like we know every single thing there is to know about the new iPhone 6. And now, a fully functioning version of the hotly anticipated new handset has been examined in nearly 20 videos that have emerged from China.
FROM EARLIER: Apple’s announcement ruined: Is this the first video of a real iPhone 6?
Following a big video leak from this past weekend that showed a working iPhone 6 on video for the first time ever, the handset can now be seen again in 17 new videos.
The clips were all posted on the China-based social video-sharing site Miaopai by the same user, and were then picked up and uploaded to YouTube by a blog called The Tech Gadget (via Fortune). In the videos, we can clearly see what appears to be a working 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model, and demonstrations of Apple’s Touch ID fingerprint scanner and the company’s new Health app are included.
Apple’s iPhone 6 model pictured in these new videos is a perfect match to the design we’ve seen leak dozens of times over the past few months.
The world’s largest tech company is holding a special press conference on Tuesday, the focus of which is expected to be two new iPhone models and a new wearable device that has been referred to as the “iWatch.” Where the iPhones are concerned, they are expected to feature similar designs, a faster processor, NFC and either a 4.7- or 5.5-inch display, depending on the model.
While we wait for the new iPhones to be unveiled, early previews can be seen in the four videos we’ve chosen below — the rest can be found on Miaopai.
