If you trekked out this past weekend in search of a specific iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus model that you just couldn’t find despite searching far and wide, you’re not alone. Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were met with insane demand as millions of people around the world lined up to be among the first to own Apple’s latest and greatest. Some people were content to buy a model other than the one they were looking for just to ensure they have a new iPhone as soon as possible, but not everyone is willing to compromise.

For those in search of a specific model, size and color combination that hasn’t yet been restocked in your area (high-capacity gold iPhone 6 Plus models are particularly scarce), a new website that went up over the weekend may be able to help.

DON’T MISS: This is what it’s like to switch from the Galaxy Note 3 to the iPhone 6 Plus

Appropriately dubbed “iPhone 6 Tracker,” an enterprising iPhone fan has put together a website that allows users to input a specific iPhone model on a specific carrier in order to receive a notification when that model becomes available.

For example, a user can input a 128GB gold iPhone 6 Plus and specify AT&T as the carrier, and iPhone 6 Tracker will then notify the user if email or SMS (we recommend using a throwaway email address, just to be safe) as soon as that model comes back in stock in one of three Apple Stores closest to his or her zip code.

Once a notification is received, a quick trip to Apple’s website will allow the user to buy the phone using Personal Pickup and then head to a local Apple Store without worrying about waiting on line.

Here’s a screen capture of the script iPhone 6 Tracker runs behind the scenes:

According to the makers of iPhone 6 Tracker website, the site accomplishes all this by constantly scraping Apple’s online store in search of inventory available for Personal Pickup. Once a model listing switches from unavailable to available at one of the three stores closest to a user, the site sends out a notification.

iPhone 6 Tracker is completely free, but the site’s creator asks users to consider donating some bitcoin if it ends up helping them purchase a new iPhone.
