With the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple managed to convince many buyers to pay more for a new iPhone, even though the company kept the same price tiers in place from previous years. What Apple changed is storage versions for the handsets: the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus both come in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities, rather than the 16GB and 32GB and 64GB versions that we saw in previous iPhone generations.

Even though the 64GB and 128GB models are cheaper than last year’s 32GB and 64GB models, respectively, the company was still criticized by many for its decision to stick with just 16GB of memory on the cheaper iPhones, especially considering the unexpected iOS 8 upgrade issues caused by insufficient storage.
But new pictures emerging from China suggest that at least some iPhone 6 and/or iPhone 6 Plus also come in 32GB versions in the region. CnBeta says that some 32GB versions of iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 — the cheapest tablet version also has just 16GB of storage — are found in the region, though Apple has yet to confirm such specific new iPhones or iPads.
The following image, posted on Weibo initially, clearly shows a 32GB iPhone 6 Plus model that may have been spotted in an Apple retail store in China, although more details have not been specified. Even if Apple isn’t selling 32GB iPhone 6 units, the image seems to suggest Apple has produced at least a few 32GB versions of its 2014 phones.
