Now that Apple has finally sent out invitations for its September 10th iPhone event — and almost every conceivable leak has managed to find its way online — the next logical step is for Apple to begin shipping the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C we’ve read so much about. MacRumors reports that Apple has already started shipping some of its new iPhone models to the U.S. in preparation for the probable September 20th release date. Apple has a history of releasing new devices shortly after it announces them, so this news doesn’t come as much of a surprise. As MacRumors notes though, it does explain the abundance of packaged iPhone 5C images that have leaked over the past several weeks as Apple prepares the new models for shipment.
