Photos of the full case and the front panel from Apple’s next-generation iPad have both already leaked, and a new report further supports the notion that the fifth full-size iPad will take after the smaller iPad mini that debuted last fall. The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple’s next iPad will use “same touch-panel technology that made the iPad mini thin and light.” The report also states that the new iPad is currently in production at Apple’s Eastern suppliers. The next-generation iPad is expected to feature a complete design overhaul that adopts the design identity of the iPad mini. It will include a smaller and thinner overall footprint, rumors and leaks suggest, but it will maintain the same exact Retina display size as the current model thanks to a smaller bezel around the screen and the new touch technology noted by the Journal.
