Starting shortly before noon ET on Wednesday, July 1st, Apple began to report outages for several of its major services.
According to the ‘System Status’ page on Apple’s website, iCloud Drive, My Photo Stream, iWork for iCloud, Backup & Restore, iPhoto Journals, iMessage attachments, Mail Drop and iMovie Theater have all been experiencing issues during this period.

As 9to5Mac notes, the live Beats 1 radio stream was interrupted by a 30 minute outage last night — less than 24 hours after its launch. iMessage was also affected with a similar outage two weeks ago, with some users unable to send and receive messages.
Here’s Apple’s official word on the current issues:
“Users may notice slower than normal performance when using iCloud Drive, My Photo Stream, iWork for iCloud, Backup & Restore, iPhoto Journals, iMessage attachments, Mail Drop, or iMovie Theater.”
We’ll be keeping an eye out for any further updates regarding Apple’s services.
