Wednesday was mobile handset manufacturer HTC’s 10th birthday. Considering their rather meteoric rise to the top of the Windows Mobil handset field, 10 years seems like a veritable blur, right? HTC has quickly become the de-facto standard bearer for Windows Mobile (and Palm OS) handset manufacturers, blowing the competition out of the water with a steady stream of innovation, creativity, and quality. There are other players to be sure, but none with the level of well deserved respect afforded HTC. With the company’s rumored roll in the upcoming Google Phone, as well as their intimate manufacturing relationship with Palm, HTC has continued to diversify their product line without losing sight of their overall mission. Kudos, HTC, and here’s to another 10 years!
