HTC (2498) is banking heavily that its upcoming M7 smartphone will outsell its other recent releases and revive a company that has struggled to stand out in a crowded Android market. But how, exactly, does HTC plan on distinguishing the M7 from earlier models? In a new video from ETrade Supply showing off leaked M7 parts, we learn that HTC has decided to make the M7’s case flatter than the curved casings of its HTC One phones, while also adding a button on the side of the device that’s solely dedicated to opening the camera and snapping pictures. The casing is also slightly longer than other One series phones and has slightly sharper corners and straighter edges, thus giving the M7 more of a standard rectangle shape that’s similar to the HTC DROID DNA that it released last year. The full video showing off the leaked M7 case is posted below.
