It’s been called the HTC Knight, the HTC Speedy, the HTC EVO Shift 4G, the HTC EVO 4G Shift and now Walmart is calling it simply the HTC EVO Shift. Call it whatever you want… the bottom line is Sprint’s version of the sexy HTC Desire Z is getting ready for lift off. We first scooped the device back in October, and the picture has been getting clearer ever since. Now, thanks to some overexcited Walmart Web workers, the puzzle is nearly complete. Specs highlights confirmed by Walmart are as follows:

  • 3.7-inch 800 x 480-pixel touchscreen display
  • Slide-out QWERTY keyboard
  • Android 2.2 OS
  • 8-megapixel camera, dual-LED flash, digital zoon, video capture support
  • Sprint 4G compatibility
  • MicroSDHC support (up to 32 GB)
  • Up to 312 minutes of talk time, up to 146 hours of standby per charge
  • 4.63 x 2.3 x .47 in
  • 4.6 oz

While the official announcement isn’t expected until Thursday as Sprint struggles to combat with the inevitable onslaught of 4G announcements from Verizon Wireless at CES, the HTC EVO 4G Shift is expected to go on sale this Sunday, January 9th. Hit the break for a few more images from the Walmart site.
