Google (GOOG) is set to announce a variety of Android goodies at its press event on October 29th in New York City. It has been widely reported that the Internet giant will debut a higher-capacity Nexus 7 tablet alongside a model with cellular capabilities and a new Nexus-branded smartphone from LG running Android 4.2, an updated version of Jelly Bean. A report from The Next Web on Sunday claimed that Google will also announce a 10-inch Nexus-branded tablet that it has co-developed with Samsung (005930).

The Nexus 10, as the device is believed to be called, is expected to include a class-leading 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution display with nearly 300 pixels-per-inch and Android 4.2. The Mountain View-based company’s latest software upgrade will compete directly with Apple’s (AAPL) iOS 6 platform and is said to include updated support for panoramic camera settings with both horizontal and vertical movements, and is also expected to introduce multiple users accounts and a new Play Store widget.

Be sure to tune into BGR beginning at 10:00 a.m. EDT on October 29th for live coverage of Google’s Android event.
