Well, almost. A couple of idiots curious iPhone owners from Finland (what the heck?), decided to see how their precious little device would perform in a sub-zero environment. Stupid? Yes. Catastrophic? Never. After all, we’ve done it before. They dropped their iPhone into a freezer with an ambient temperature of -4 degrees F (-20 degrees C) and left it in for roughly half an hour. This cooled the phone down to a surface temp of roughly 14 degrees F (-10 degrees C). The result? The phone still worked and no (immediately noticeable) lasting damage was inflicted. You’ll still have a tough time trying to bang out messages with gloves on, but all things considered, this is quite the triumph for those of us that live anywhere North of Florida.
