The most important Galaxy S6 design details has already been leaked well ahead of the phone’s launch, but that doesn’t mean all of the phone’s secrets have been uncovered. In fact, South Korean publication ETNews has learned one more interesting thing about the handset, detailing a design element that might be crucial for the phone’s performance.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the Galaxy S6 models will not come with iPhone 4-like “Antennagate” features, a cellular signal loss issue that affected the 2011 iPhone model. The reason is that Samsung has devised a special antenna for the metal-and-glass Galaxy S6 handset which ensures that the phone’s metal chassis does not hinder voice communications or data transmissions.

Just recently, reports revealed that Samsung might have some antenna issues on a couple of brand new metal handsets, including the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5, and the company might have already corrected them in time for the Galaxy S6 flagships.

Samsung has so far teased various upcoming Galaxy S6 features, including camera, wireless charging abilities and design, though the phone’s antennas have not been one of the topics the company addressed in announcements on its blogs or video ads.

A previous report revealed that Samsung decided to use a glass rear cover for the Galaxy S6 instead of metal in order to make offer built-in wireless charging support.

The phone is going to be unveiled on March 1st during a special Samsung Unpacked 2015 event in Barcelona, Spain.
