Samsung finally took the wraps off of its new flagship Galaxy Note 3 phablet and the Galaxy Gear smartwatch on Wednesday and the initial response was mixed. Most seemed to agree that the Galaxy Note 3 was a solid improvement over its predecessor, however Samsung’s Galaxy Gear was almost universally panned as an answer without a question. Good news for those interested in either or both new devices, however: Verizon is sometimes the last to the table when it comes to launches, but it will be first to the party with Samsung’s new offerings. Verizon has confirmed on its website that it will begin taking preorders on Friday, September 6th at 9:00 a.m. ET for both the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
