Evolve is shaping up to be the most captivating cooperative game of the new generation of consoles. Announced earlier this year, Evolve is a successor of sorts to Turtle Rock Studios’ last major project, Left 4 Dead. As in Left 4 Dead, players in Evolve will team up to fight a terrifying threat, but this time the threat is much larger than a zombie. Evolve pits a team of four humans players (Hunters) against a single, gigantic monster (Goliath).

In the recently published interactive trailer, you can swap between the perspectives of each player character and the player-controlled Goliath in real-time throughout the course of a full match. In the video, you’ll be able to get a feel for how each of the four Hunter classes operate, boosting through the environment with their jetpacks and setting traps for Goliath.

Goliath has to be careful at the beginning of the match, hunting for wildlife which allows him to evolve into an even stronger form before the Hunters can begin tracking him. In this match, the players manage to find Goliath fairly early, giving the Hunters an advantage, but Goliath uses the surroundings to his advantage, creating an opening during which he can retreat. The match only gets more exciting from there.

Evolve will release on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC this fall. Turn annotations on for the full, interactive trailer follows below.
