In the inevitable hurricane of Android tablets set to rain down on CES this week, one thing is for sure: it won’t be easy for smaller manufacturers to separate themselves from the pack. Stream TV-owned eLocity found a way to do just that, however, by going against Google’s wishes and outing Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) ahead if any official announcement. Though most readers have likely never heard of eLocity, the relatively new tableteer has several devices in store for us this year. In fact, today’s press release talks up seven different tablets that will be shown off at CES, each belonging to the company’s new A10 line. The names aren’t overly catchy — they’re annoyingly called the A10.1 through A10.7 — but we’re still intrigued. The company appears to have secured some solid distribution deals and while full specs aren’t yet available, each A10 slate will include a dual-core Tegra 2 processor (in accordance with rumored Google requirements), microSDHC support (up to 32 GB), USB ports and 1080p video output via HDMI. eLocity’s A10 tablets will be available for pre-order beginning January 17th, though pricing is not yet available. Hit the jump for eLocity’s full press release.
